About Team WC
20 countries are divided into 4 groups, 2 (W and Z) with 4 entries, and 2 (X and Y) each divided into 2 sub groups with 3 entries each. In the first stage (thursday and friday) each group play round robin to determine ranking within a group. The entries in subgroups then plays the same rank in the other group for a complete ranking of X and Y. In the Final Stage (saturday and sunday) no. 1s plays 1s in each group etc., with loosers playing for positions.
I.e. position 1.-4., 5.-8., 9.-12., 13.-16. and 17.-20. Denmark was seeded in
group 5.-8. together with Malaysia, England and Japan.
China was top seeded, ahead of Korea, Indonesia and Chines Taipei.
