After the game, Mette Sorensen said, that it had been easier than she anticipated. Julia is a stable player, she said, and they both like to play the same. They have not met recently, because of the cancelled tournaments and all.(Julia said it was 5 years ago they met the last time.)

Mette felt, that she was able to get the upper hand early in the first game. Julia is not so tall, Mette explained, and thats why Mette had to smash out of her reach. At the same time her own play at the net was successful..

While she talked, she kept throwing glances out at the courts, where her opponent tomorrow was being selected. Zhou Mi, China, had no trouble with Ling Wan Ting, Hong Kong, winning 11-4, 11-1.
