Last Night Simon Archer of England chocked everybody, when he fell over during the last match of the Indonesia - England tie. As far as I remember, he had run to the back, right corner to cover Gail Emms return smash, but it was not need. The shuttle was on then indonesian side, when Simon turned and then fell out of the spotlight. A few moments past before the other players and officials noticed, that something was wrong, but the english trainers and medical team was already on the run. The umpire tried to stop them, because he had not yet realised exactly what has happened - but soon everybody knew, that this match was over. Simon lay very still most of the time, when peoble tried to treat the leg. When he moved, he was obviosly in great pain. A stretcher was wheeled in from the far corner of the hall, but when it arrived Simon was able to stand on his own. He shook hands with the indonesians, and then let himself be transported out of the hall on the stretcher. Here is the official press release, issuet today, wednesday.
