Late Danish TC Team changesAfter the withdrawal of Peter Gade last week, the danish Thomas Cup team today was hit by another withdrawal. Niels Chr. Kaldau, current world ranking no. 30, sufferes a contracted muscle in his calf. He has been replaced with Peter Rasmussen. Peter Rasmussen has no current ranking, because he has not competed international for over 2 years, after suffering injuries. But he was the 1997 World Champion, and did well at his first major event last month in the Danish Nationals - loosing in the 2. round to Kasper Fangel (current World Ranking no. 50).The Team as of today (monday 18.) is thus: Singles: Anders Boesen, Kenneth Jonassen, Kasper Ødum and Peter Rasmussen. Doubles: Martin Lundgaard, Jens Eriksen, Jim Laugesen, Jesper Larsen, Jonas Rasmussen and Lars Paaske. They are leaving for Eindhoven tuesday afternoon. /Leif The DBA press release (in danish)
