Evening, 2. day

[Further updates of this page is planned.]

  Wong Choong Hann, MAS (4)
    - Peter Gade, DEN (10)
        15-13, 15-12

Peter lacked his sharpnes, he said, but in fact it was a long, even match by two players, that plays well against each other. The small errors are punished immediately. Varied play all over court - but both tende to play close to the net - at game, Wong Choong Hann was better at today.

  Xie Xingfang, CHN (6)
    - Tine Rasmussen, DEN (31)
        11-1, 9-11, 11-2

The danish number two was insecure and nervous - but she did manage to close af 2-7 gap in the 2. game. And after "two lucky" shuttles on the net, she overtook Xie's 9-7 lead to win the game.

  Chen Yu, CHN (9)
    - Kenneth Jonassen, DEN (6)
        15-17, 15-8, 15-4

Because of better in the first match, Kennet Jonassen only needed to win one game to go to finals tomorrow. He did that in the first game. He could not really make things happen from then on, and lost the two last.

  Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard, DEN (3)
    - Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah, MAS, (6)
        15-9, 15-11

The out come of this match did not matter for the finals, as both pairs has already lost to Wijaya and Haryanto. But Jens and Martin had decided to make the most of this opportunety to get som practice, and gave the audience another, good men's doubles match to finish the evening.

[Number in paranthesis after player names are IBF world ranking as of 25. december 2003.]
