Hvordan rangeres de enkelte nationer i de 2 puljer ved dette EM?
Det har mange været i tvivl om, men for at mane tvivlen til jorden, udsendte EHF (Det Europæiske Håndbold Forbund) tirsdag følgende. Det er en liste over, hvilke regler der gælder ved dette EM:
I indledende runde - de første 5 kampe:
"1. adding the points gained
2. goal difference is substracted in all matches
3. greater number of plus goals in all matches"
Efter indledende runde:
"The ranking in both groups will be calculated according to the ranking system taken down in item 3.8.3 of the European Championship Regulations, especially taking into account the possibility of two or more teams having gained the same number of points. Then the following ranking criteria will come into force:
1. Results in points between the teams concerned
2. goal difference in the matches between the teams
concerned
3. greater number of plus goals in the matches between
the teams concerned
