Xaio won 15 - 6The audience gave Poul-Erik Høyer at standing ovation while he made his way out of the arena. Otherwise "Big Wednesday" had a hard program from mid morning to mid evning without any breaks in the program. Matches where played simulatenously on 5 courts. A young but unimpressed canadian, Sophie Jutras, from the qualifying rounds, got a very fast lession in top quality badminton from the 5 times Danish Open champion and Olympic silver medalist. Camilla Martin won 11-0, 11-0 in 7 minutes. Peter Gade had a little more trouble with compatriot Henrik Kryger. 1. game went as planned og was quickly over. But when the 2. game was almost over, Henrik Kryger wanted a little more say, and scored 6 points in a row against an amused 2. seeded Peter Gade. Afte the game Peter Gade complimented Peter Kryger for his guts. Peter won 15-5, 15-9
