Danish Open 2000

Realkredit Danmark Open, Farum Arena, Denmark

Farum St. to the Venue, on foot

During saturday and sunday busses runs only once or twice every hour. If you don't mind a short walk - about 1 km - you should walk to the venue.

Go the ports at the end of the tracks - here viewed from the right track. Turn right on the other side of the port.

Continue ahead to the corner with traffic lights. Two main roads cross "Stavnsholtsvej" and "Frederiksborgvej". You are on Stavsnholtsvej.

At the crossroad pass over "Frederiksborgvej" and turn left - watch the traffic lights carefully! On the other side, when you have crossed "Stavnsholtsvej" on the walk way above, a number of signs point to the right along a combined foot and bicycle path. Follow that.

You walk between "Stavnsholtsvej" to the right and the mall "Farum Bytorv" (picture) on the left. The path dives through a short tunnel.

After the tunnel the path goes up hill and turn left (pictured). You should do the same.

On top of the flat hill, you will find this bridge, leanding across a motor way. Use that bridge to the other side, and continue straight on.

On the other side of the bridge, a big moderne office building is to the left It is "PenSam" (a large trust company) - ahead the path seams to split. Use the right fork, which actually will turn left again, so you continue straight on.

The next big building on your left is "Marie Kruse Skole" (shown). You will find the name high on the wall, just before the path dives under another road up ahead.

When you ascend from the tunnel, you should be able to see the arena ahead to the left of the path.

The main entrance are facing the path, across a small plaza.
