Michael Sogaard has been ruled out from the Danish Thomas Cup team by national coach Kenneth Larsen and replaced by Jon Holst-Christensen.
It is not something he has done - it is rather what he has not done!

National coach Kenneth Larsen and a number of players in the Millennium European squad felt Michael Sogaard lacked team spirit.
He appeared to be reserved, sitting away from the rest of the squad. He did that to the extend that made national coach rule him out from the Thomas Cup squad.

Michael Sogaard was notified of the decision after winning his third successive Mixed doubles with Rikke Olsen.

To DilleSport Michael Sogaard expresses great disappointment to be ruled out and take it into consideration! "That is it, nothing more to say about that! Apparently somebody feels I have shown too little commitment. I feel that everyone express their feelings and commitment in different ways..."

Sogaard has been on the Thomas Cup three times before and have had a great time: "The atmosphere is fantastic - especially in Asia!"
He expresses great confidence in the Danish squad - Thomas Cup as well as Uber Cup: "If things work out right the girls can be in the final - against China!".
Regarding Thomas Cup he thinks that four nation stand a chance: Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea and Denmark. NOT necessarily in that order!
